Wet N Wild Color Icon Trio in Silent Treatment Swatches and Mini Review

Wet N Wild Silent Treatment Packaging

Wet N Wild Color Icon Trio in ‘Silent Treatment’

I’m here today with one of my all time favorite color icon trios from Wet N Wild. I haven’t done a post on Wet N Wild eyeshadows up until this point but prepare now because I’m about to RAVE about these. I cannot say enough great things about Wet N Wild. I re-discovered them last year when I read about them in the beauty blogger community and on the youtube beauty community. I remembered Wet N Wild from high school and associated it with ‘cheap makeup’ both in price and quality. Boy was I wrong! Wet N Wild is very budget friendly (I think the color icon trios cost me 2.99 each) but they are extremely high quality! In my opinion, they make the absolute best drugstore eyeshadows and I don’t think my opinion will ever change on this. Do not be fooled by the low price tag! These eyeshadows are creamy, extremely pigmented, easy to blend, and come in a great variety of colors! I have just about every palette this company makes. Buying Wet N Wild is an easy way to get lots of colors in your library while not spending a lot of money. And seriously people, I compare the quality of these shadows to that of MAC and Urban Decay. Seriously – nothing bad to say about Wet N Wild or the shadows. In fact, I’m furiously trying to find the new Limited edition collection that was just released and won’t be satisfied till I have all the colors! Go get some wet n wild! Read on for more…..

L’oreal Double Extend Eye Illuminator Eyeliner Review and Swatches

L'oreal Double Extend Eye Illuminator Eyeliner in Black Crystal

L’Oreal Double Extend Eye Illuminator Eyeliner in ‘Black Crystal’

The L’oreal Double Extend Eye Illuminator is one of L’oreal’s brand new products on the shelves right now. I was so excited to see these released because, to my knowledge, this is the first white eyeliner pencil to make it to the drugstore shelves. For this, l’oreal, you are innovative and I congratulate you. I bought two of these, this is ‘black crystal’ with a black end and a white end. I also got the one for ‘brown eyes’ which is a purple liner and a white liner on the ‘illuminate’ end. Did I like it? Review and pictures to follow……

NYX Cosmetics Tango With Bronzing Stix Review and Swatches

NYX Tango With Bronzing Stix Packaging from Front and Back

NYX Cosmetics Tango With Bronzing Stix Packaging shown from both front and back

I know I have only posted about the NYX candy liners thus far but let me say, I LOVE NYX Cosmetics! NYX hasn’t made a single product I’ve regretted buying and they have a very reasonable price tag. They have a great color selection and pigmentation to their products. The products I’m showing you today are new and I spotted them at my local Ulta on my last trip. I just had to have these and I’ll tell you why. 1.) I am obsessed with cream bronzers and 2.) I trust that NYX won’t let me down in the actual product I buy. I know some don’t like cream bronzers but I will forever buy cream bronzers for everyday contouring. They are so much easier to blend than the powders. I put my foundation/concealer on and then put the cream bronzer on the contours of my cheeks. I then simply blend that in with my foundation brush and it magically makes me look contoured without looking unnatural. I posted on a new cream bronzer I got from MAC which I simply adore but it’s limited edition, so I”m constantly looking for new cream bronzers I love. Did I love these as much? Read on…..

Sinful Colors Forget Now Swatches

Sinful Colors Forget Now Bottle

Sinful Colors ‘Forget Now’ Bottle

With this nail swatch, I’m formatting the post a bit differently – i.e. no slideshow. Let me know which you like best. So, I went to Walgreens this week since they had a coupon for 3 sinful colors nail polishes for 4 dollars. This made each polish about 1.33 which isn’t bad considering they are normally 1.99. Either way, these polishes are cheap and GOOD, which is why they are tending to dominate my collection at this point. This color, ‘Forget Now’, was part of a special display but I believe it’s part of the permanent line. It caught my eye with its sparkly blue-based pink color. I have to say that I LOVE this color. It is so vibrant and beautiful not to mention that it looks great on my skin. I will definitely be wearing this a lot. The pictures here were all taken in natural light and I applied three coats of the polish to get the opacity I wanted. Read on for pictures and swatches…..

My Favorite Nail Tool: ELF Nourishing Cuticle Pen

ELF Nourishing Cuticle Pen

ELF Nourishing Cuticle Pen Packaging

This is going to be a short and sweet review, not a lot of pictures or swatches here but I want to rave about a product I’ve fallen in love with! I manicure may nails quite often since I never get them done in a salon. I paint them a few times a week and I like my cuticles to be both conditioned and pushed back. Previous to finding this little nifty pen here, I was using a cuticle remover and pusher. This worked well but it took two minutes to let the cuticle remover work and then I had to clean up the cuticles and wash my hands. This little baby took care of all that for me. I keep this on my nightstand and just pick it up before I start painting. I push my cuticles back with it and it works for that purpose as well as nourishes my cuticles so they don’t look scragly.

I love this so much for a few reasons. 1. It’s super cheap at 1 dollar from my target. 2. It’s handy and the packaging is great – tight fitting cap on a small, easy to hold pen. 3. It gets the job done quickly and well.

I think that’s just about all I can say about it – it works, I love it, and would reccomend it to anyone who does their nails DIY style like me.

Goody Stay Put Hold Headband Review and Pictures

Goody Product Logo on Stay Put Hold Headband

Goody Stay Put Hold Headband Logo Detail

As you can see from the very close up image above, I am reviewing a Goody Product for you today. I love the Goody line and recommend so many of their products. The one I’m reviewing today is the Stay Put Hold Headband. I love this because I love wrap style headbands but they always slide off my head so fast, even with bobby pins. This headband stays the whole day for me, no problem. It doesn’t give me a headache and it looks great on. These are so versatile because they can be worn while your hair is down or up; with bangs or without. Continue reading for the review and pictures…..

Nicole by OPI Iceberg Lotus Swatch and Mini Review

Today’s nail polish swatch is a new polish (new to me) that I picked up at Target this week. I had been eyeing Essie’s ‘Trophy Wife’ and saw this. From the bottles, this Nicole by OPI polish looked a close dupe. I like the Nicole by OPI polishes. I don’t like them as much as OPI but they are good polishes. This color is “Iceberg Lotus.” Iceberg Lotus is a teal with a slight purple duochrome containing shimmer. Slideshow below…..

Revlon Color Burst Lipgloss Review and Swatches

Revlon Colorburst Lipgloss Packaging

Revlon Colorburst Lipgloss Packaging

I have another awesome drugstore product for you today – Revlon’s new Colorburst Lipglosses. I have two colors, ‘rosepearl’ and ‘pink ice.’ They have a nice variety of shades and of course, Revlon is very easily accessible for most everyone. As far as drugstore lines go, Revlon is one of my favorites – it tops the list for quality in my humble opinion. So, on to the review….
