Almay intense i-color shadow sticks in blue and hazel eyes
Almay is kicking out some really awesome stuff lately! It isn’t a brand I’ve typically been drawn to, but with the new releases, I’m lovin’ the company! One of their new spring products are these shadow sticks. They are a cream shadow in twist up form and Almay claims they are ‘crease proof.’ They are also rumored to be a dupe for the MAC shade sticks. I can’t speak to that, since I haven’t tried the MAC, but as a cream shadow lover, I think these are great! Read on for more….
Ulta Haul: L to R: China Glaze Haunting, Too Faced Shadow Insurance, NYX Pure Gold, Too Faced Flatbuki brush
So, I don’t usually do hauls on my blog but I felt that this mini-haul was blog-worthy. I went to Ulta this week to take advantage of Too Faced Shadow Insurance being on sale (one day only) for half price. So, I picked up two more things while I was in there and also walked out with a free gift. Read on for more….
CoverGirl Intense Shadow Blast in (L->R) Beige Blaze, Platinum Pop, and Forever Pink
Another Cover Girl Review today! As I had mentioned in my review of their eyeshadows, covergirl, like other drugstore brands have really been stepping up lately improving their products and rolling out a lot of really great stuff. The best thing about Cover Girl is that it’s very easily accessible and it’s price tag is very reasonable. They’ve been in the drugstore game for a long time and, honestly, up until recently I was disappointed with many of their products. However, starting with the lashblasts (which have become a staple for many women in the mascara department), they have been producing very high quality products that I have been more than impressed with. The product I’m reviewing today is their Intense Shadow Blast, not to be confused with the cream stick shadow blast – these are totally different and sooooo much better.
I really love Revlon as far as drugstore makeup goes. Their colorstay foundation tops my list of best foundations ever and at the price, it’s a great deal. I recently started branching out my Revlon collection and grabbed a few of the single eyeshadows, which Revlon refers to as “Luminous Color’ eyeshadows. They come in single pans and you get 2.4 grams of product each which is a generous amount. They come in different finishes, similar to MAC eyshadows though Revlon certainly does not have MAC’s range. The types are Pearle, Satin, Matte. Revlon doesn’t describe these but we know matte is a flat finish without sparkle. The pearle definately has shimmer and some finely milled glitter. The satin has shimmer but I don’t notice any large glitter particles. I have two pearles and one satin. The pearles are ‘Sunlit Sparkle’ and ‘Black Galaxy’; the satin is ‘Peacock Lustre.’ So…on with the pictures!!
This is the outside packaging. The color shown is the ‘Peacock Lustre’ (satin) color.
