The most wearable glitter ever! LaSplash liquid glitter eyeliner in Pink Sparkles – Review, photos, and Swatches
LaSplash glitter eyeliner in Pink Sparkles
I recently made a trip to Ulta for a good sale and picked this little baby up on the haul. I love LaSplash as a brand and I really love their glitters. They make the best glitter base and loose glitter around for the money. So, I saw this Pinky gold glitter eyeliner and snatched it up. I offically declare that this color is the most wearable glitter for any occasion! I love to wear it on my lower lash line for an extra little bit of sparkle. The cool thing about this color is that it doesn’t scream “hey, I have glitter on my face!”; however, it still looks awesome. Read on for more….
Remington Limited Edition Straightening Iron: Textured Tools. A bargain at only $13.00 on Clearance at Target!
Remington 1 Inch Ceramic Plated straightening Iron – Limited Edition
This post is to tell you about my beauty find that’s got me too excited. I was at Target shopping the clearance and I found this baby. For a mere $13.00, you get a 30 heat setting straightening iron that claimed to heat to 400 degrees farenheit. Sign Me up! I typically avoid buying irons outside of beauty supplies because they simply don’t get hot enough but 400 degrees is plenty hot to straighten and curl my hair; and, for this price, what did I have to lose? Read on to see what I thought.
Orly Seashell for Susan G. Komen
It’s October, so it means that you will be seeing pink everywhere! It’s breast cancer awareness month and during October, many cosmetics manufacturers like to kick out a lot of pink products and give proceeds to breast cancer research. Since recently deciding to go cruelty free with my makeup, I’ve turned to Orly since Sally Hansen is now a no-no for me. I have to tell y’all, I can’t believe I waited this long to try Orly. I’ll go on about how awesome they are in the mini-review. Keep on reading for more…..
NYC Blushable Creme Stick in Plaza Pink
This is another one of my holy grail drugstore products I’m reviewing here. You will see that I have quite a few of the shades from New York Color’s blushable creme stick line as I love them so much. Firstly, let me say that I prefer a creme bronzer and a creme blush as opposed to powder forms. I feel they blend in better and look more natural while giving you a nice pigmentation. I’m going to go ahead and tell you that it is difficult to find a good drugstore creme blush or bronzer for that matter. New York Color has provided in that area and has exceeded my expectations. Sinful Colors ‘Forget Now’ Bottle
With this nail swatch, I’m formatting the post a bit differently – i.e. no slideshow. Let me know which you like best. So, I went to Walgreens this week since they had a coupon for 3 sinful colors nail polishes for 4 dollars. This made each polish about 1.33 which isn’t bad considering they are normally 1.99. Either way, these polishes are cheap and GOOD, which is why they are tending to dominate my collection at this point. This color, ‘Forget Now’, was part of a special display but I believe it’s part of the permanent line. It caught my eye with its sparkly blue-based pink color. I have to say that I LOVE this color. It is so vibrant and beautiful not to mention that it looks great on my skin. I will definitely be wearing this a lot. The pictures here were all taken in natural light and I applied three coats of the polish to get the opacity I wanted. Read on for pictures and swatches…..
CoverGirl Intense Shadow Blast in (L->R) Beige Blaze, Platinum Pop, and Forever Pink
Another Cover Girl Review today! As I had mentioned in my review of their eyeshadows, covergirl, like other drugstore brands have really been stepping up lately improving their products and rolling out a lot of really great stuff. The best thing about Cover Girl is that it’s very easily accessible and it’s price tag is very reasonable. They’ve been in the drugstore game for a long time and, honestly, up until recently I was disappointed with many of their products. However, starting with the lashblasts (which have become a staple for many women in the mascara department), they have been producing very high quality products that I have been more than impressed with. The product I’m reviewing today is their Intense Shadow Blast, not to be confused with the cream stick shadow blast – these are totally different and sooooo much better.
So, new blog – like it? I prefer the wordpress platflorm over the blogger platform, so that’s why I switched. Hopefully, I’ll be able to provide a nicer, friendlier, prettier blog because of this. Now on to the post…..
I recently purchased the Adventure Island colors when I saw them on a display at Rite Aid. These colors are great dupes of the Pirates of the Caribbean collection which OPI recently released. The collections consist of dirty looking pastels and really stood out to me as colors which are unique. The first swatch I bring to you is called ‘starfish’. It’s a pretty pastel pink. The finish is a creme finish and I applied 2 coats to get the look you see here. I love sinful colors because they are so affordable and the color selection is awesome. However, the only downside is that they last a day less before chipping when compared to the higher end brands. I do put a lot of wear on my hands and mine chip at about 24 hours into wear (with a topcoat). You may get longer wear if you don’t abuse your nails as I do. Overall, I really like these polishes and would definately reccomend them for purchase!
