KISS Nail Dress Packaging
The nail applique trend is pretty big right now; rightly so, the appliques are probably the easiest way to get great looking nails effortlessly. Before trying this product, the only experience I had with these were via the Sally Hansen nail polish strips. The two products are similar but definitely not the same. I received this product via the Influenster Voxbox although I do have other designs I purchased on my own. The following is a review of these strips…..
Zoya Kristen and Jesse’s Girl Stiletto
For you today I have a swatch of Zoya’s ‘Kristen’ (I got it in my birchbox this month) and Jesse’s Girl in ‘stiletto’ from the JulieG Collection for rite aid. Read on for more….
Orly Seashell for Susan G. Komen
It’s October, so it means that you will be seeing pink everywhere! It’s breast cancer awareness month and during October, many cosmetics manufacturers like to kick out a lot of pink products and give proceeds to breast cancer research. Since recently deciding to go cruelty free with my makeup, I’ve turned to Orly since Sally Hansen is now a no-no for me. I have to tell y’all, I can’t believe I waited this long to try Orly. I’ll go on about how awesome they are in the mini-review. Keep on reading for more…..
ELF Mineral Eyeshadows
ELF is another brand that I adore. Their products are so cheap and many are surprisingly great. But, at the price, you just can’t help but give them a whirl. I won’t say that I’ve like every product I bought from ELF (most notably, some of their lighter eyeshadows in the beauty books lack pigmentation). But, I would say overall, they have great things to offer. My favorite products from ELF are their brushes, their eye primers, and blushes. I picked up a set of three eyeshadows from their mineral line at my local target. I didn’t know what to expect from the shadows as my experience with ELF eyeshadows has been big hit or big miss. I was pleasantly surprised with these shadows. Read on…..
OPI Road House Blues Bottle
Another Fall polish for you! Can you tell that I’m ready for fall? This is from OPI’s Touring America Collection. I wasn’t super thrilled about any of these shades when I saw the promo photos but seeing them in person changed my mind. This shade, Road House Blues, was one of my favorites. I love my dark polishes and this is a dark blue creme that almost looks black on the nails, yet, one can tell that it isn’t pure black. I love it! Read on for more pics….
Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Correcting Primer in Green
I am going to go ahead and tell you this is going to be another rave review. I much prefer reviewing products I like opposed to those I don’t. Well, let me say I got this product on a physician’s formula sale at Rite Aid and it was sort of a gamble for me. What I mean by this is that I’ve never used any color correcting primer before much less this particular one. I do have lots of redness in my face and thought that this could possibly help. OPI I’m Not Really A Waitress
I can’t believe it took me this long to get the most popular color that OPI makes! The bottle you see above is that color – I’m Not Really A Waitress. I thought the story behind this was interesting. Suzi, the executive VP at OPI named this color after noticing that everyone in Los Angeles had another job besides the one they worked. The example here is a waitress that’s ‘not really a waitress’ because she’s an actress. Cool, right? Well, for the swatch, keep reading….
Label for Jade Jump
Another swatch today. I recently got this color on clearance at Target and ya’ll know I love a good deal! I adore mint polishes so this was a no-brainer purchase for me. Honestly, I don’t know why it was on clearance. The color is beautiful, it does dry fast, and wears just as long as the other colors in this line. I’ve gone into detail about the polish formulation before so I won’t rehash that. I definitely recommend snagging this if you can, especially while it’s on clearance! Read on for the swatch….
Sinful Colors ‘Forget Now’ Bottle
With this nail swatch, I’m formatting the post a bit differently – i.e. no slideshow. Let me know which you like best. So, I went to Walgreens this week since they had a coupon for 3 sinful colors nail polishes for 4 dollars. This made each polish about 1.33 which isn’t bad considering they are normally 1.99. Either way, these polishes are cheap and GOOD, which is why they are tending to dominate my collection at this point. This color, ‘Forget Now’, was part of a special display but I believe it’s part of the permanent line. It caught my eye with its sparkly blue-based pink color. I have to say that I LOVE this color. It is so vibrant and beautiful not to mention that it looks great on my skin. I will definitely be wearing this a lot. The pictures here were all taken in natural light and I applied three coats of the polish to get the opacity I wanted. Read on for pictures and swatches…..
