Where Have I Been?
First and foremost, I must apologize from the severe lack of posts on this blog. I’ve had a job change that is extremely positive for me but it means I’m working so much more than I was before. Basically this means that I have to manage my time a bit differently to be able to do the blogging that I love. Not much drama regarding where I’ve been, but I wanted to let readers know that I’ll be making a concerted effort to post more, even if it’s just a face of the day/nail of the day.

Gelish Nail Polish In Sugar Daddy
Today is a simple post. I have swatches of Gelish Sugar Daddy. This is part of the Nail Harmony Gelish line at Sally Beauty Supply. This polish requires the gelish system and UV light which can be purchased at the same store. I love these at home gel manicures and I get a full two weeks of wear (without chipping!) from them! This color in particular is limited edition and part of the Candyland collection. Read on for more pictures….
Garnier BB Cream in Light/Medium
BB cream. It’s huge in Asia and the hype has made its way to the US. Garnier was the first to unveil a drugstore BB cream in the US. So, I had to try it. They are touted as miracle products as far as their ability to even tone, lighten skin, and make it more beautiful overall. Read on for the review and pictures……

Revlon’s Super Lustrous Lipstick in Wild Orchid Swatch and Review (with special appearance by Stila and NYX)
Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in ‘Wild Orchid’
All of you bright and bold lipstick fans are going to love this post! I love Revlon’s lipsticks, in fact, I think they are just about the best that you can buy at the drugstore. They are pigmented, creamy, and they come in a variety of finishes and colors. Recently, CVS had a great sale on these and I picked a few up. I’m normally a nude lippie girl since I tend to wear such dramatic eye looks but this color called my name and I decided to step a bit out of my comfort zone and try it. I’m very glad I did! Wet N Wild Color Icon Trio in ‘Silent Treatment’
I’m here today with one of my all time favorite color icon trios from Wet N Wild. I haven’t done a post on Wet N Wild eyeshadows up until this point but prepare now because I’m about to RAVE about these. I cannot say enough great things about Wet N Wild. I re-discovered them last year when I read about them in the beauty blogger community and on the youtube beauty community. I remembered Wet N Wild from high school and associated it with ‘cheap makeup’ both in price and quality. Boy was I wrong! Wet N Wild is very budget friendly (I think the color icon trios cost me 2.99 each) but they are extremely high quality! In my opinion, they make the absolute best drugstore eyeshadows and I don’t think my opinion will ever change on this. Do not be fooled by the low price tag! These eyeshadows are creamy, extremely pigmented, easy to blend, and come in a great variety of colors! I have just about every palette this company makes. Buying Wet N Wild is an easy way to get lots of colors in your library while not spending a lot of money. And seriously people, I compare the quality of these shadows to that of MAC and Urban Decay. Seriously – nothing bad to say about Wet N Wild or the shadows. In fact, I’m furiously trying to find the new Limited edition collection that was just released and won’t be satisfied till I have all the colors! Go get some wet n wild! Read on for more…..
Lipstains are perfect for summer since they don’t wear off easily and are pretty much waterproof. A good lipstain will stay there forever and is hard to get off your lips. I’m reviewing the Revlon version today as I’ve been using and loving these during the summer. What makes revlon stand out from the other stains is the lip balm that is included on the end of the stain tube. You really need a balm to keep your lips hydrated while wearing a stain and Revlon has made this very convienient. Plus, they do have a pretty extensive range of colors compared with other lines and also have some limited edition colors as well. Today, I have two colors for you, ‘Forbidden’ and ‘Instinct.’ On with the pictures……
The colors I have are ‘Forbidden’ (top) and ‘Instinct’ (bottom). I believe ‘Instainct’ is limited edition but it is avaliabe at this time. You can see the balm at the right and the ‘marker’ type tip at the left.
So, new blog – like it? I prefer the wordpress platflorm over the blogger platform, so that’s why I switched. Hopefully, I’ll be able to provide a nicer, friendlier, prettier blog because of this. Now on to the post…..
I recently purchased the Adventure Island colors when I saw them on a display at Rite Aid. These colors are great dupes of the Pirates of the Caribbean collection which OPI recently released. The collections consist of dirty looking pastels and really stood out to me as colors which are unique. The first swatch I bring to you is called ‘starfish’. It’s a pretty pastel pink. The finish is a creme finish and I applied 2 coats to get the look you see here. I love sinful colors because they are so affordable and the color selection is awesome. However, the only downside is that they last a day less before chipping when compared to the higher end brands. I do put a lot of wear on my hands and mine chip at about 24 hours into wear (with a topcoat). You may get longer wear if you don’t abuse your nails as I do. Overall, I really like these polishes and would definately reccomend them for purchase!
