So, I don’t usually do hauls on my blog but I felt that this mini-haul was blog-worthy. I went to Ulta this week to take advantage of Too Faced Shadow Insurance being on sale (one day only) for half price. So, I picked up two more things while I was in there and also walked out with a free gift. Read on for more….

Revlon’s Super Lustrous Lipstick in Wild Orchid Swatch and Review (with special appearance by Stila and NYX)

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Wild Orchid

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in ‘Wild Orchid’

All of you bright and bold lipstick fans are going to love this post! I love Revlon’s lipsticks, in fact, I think they are just about the best that you can buy at the drugstore. They are pigmented, creamy, and they come in a variety of finishes and colors. Recently, CVS had a great sale on these and I picked a few up. I’m normally a nude lippie girl since I tend to wear such dramatic eye looks but this color called my name and I decided to step a bit out of my comfort zone and try it. I’m very glad I did! NYX Cosmetics Tango With Bronzing Stix Review and Swatches

NYX Tango With Bronzing Stix Packaging from Front and Back

NYX Cosmetics Tango With Bronzing Stix Packaging shown from both front and back

I know I have only posted about the NYX candy liners thus far but let me say, I LOVE NYX Cosmetics! NYX hasn’t made a single product I’ve regretted buying and they have a very reasonable price tag. They have a great color selection and pigmentation to their products. The products I’m showing you today are new and I spotted them at my local Ulta on my last trip. I just had to have these and I’ll tell you why. 1.) I am obsessed with cream bronzers and 2.) I trust that NYX won’t let me down in the actual product I buy. I know some don’t like cream bronzers but I will forever buy cream bronzers for everyday contouring. They are so much easier to blend than the powders. I put my foundation/concealer on and then put the cream bronzer on the contours of my cheeks. I then simply blend that in with my foundation brush and it magically makes me look contoured without looking unnatural. I posted on a new cream bronzer I got from MAC which I simply adore but it’s limited edition, so I”m constantly looking for new cream bronzers I love. Did I love these as much? Read on…..

NYX Candy Glitter Liners Swatch and Review

I love glitter! I must say that before I go furthur with this review. I think glitter is a way to make yourself feel like a really awesome piece of jewlry: sparkly, fun, and colorful. I don’t wear glitter everyday but I enjoy wearing it occasionally on a regular basis – does that make sense? Sure it does. 🙂 I love the NYX candy glitter liners  for a few reasons: they are cheap, they are easily accessible, they work, they’re pigmented, and they add just enough glitter without being too over the top. You can buy these online from NYX, cherryculture, or other sites but I often get mine at ULTA. I have five colors to show you. If you’re interested in a little glitter to your look but don’t want to look like a rocker barbie, these are great. You can use them for a little glitter on top or bottom lashline or a tad bit in the outer corner of the eye. I definately reccomend them. The only downside is dry time. They do take a few minutes to dry and if you place it on your top lashline, you have to keep your eye semi-closed for that time. Pictures below….enjoy!
