Gelish Nail Polish Swatch in Night Reflection
Gel nails. They are huge right now. Among the claims sported by gel manicure companies are such statements as: no chipping, no peeling, 3 weeks wear, no fading. This is everyone’s dream right? Up until recently, you had to get yourself to a salon to get one of these manicures as well as pay around 25-35 a pop. Being one of those who doesn’t go to the salon, ever, I bought the Gelish kit when it was released at Sally Beauty Supply. I’d been sitting on the kit until today as I thought the manicure would take forever. However, I discovered that this manicure isn’t as complicated as I once thought. Read on for more!

Sally Hansen Gem Crush Glitter Polish in Razzle Dazzler to right and Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Celeb City on left
I have a bling-tastic manicure for y’all today! I just bought Sally Hansen Xtreme wear in Celeb City on a great CVS sale. This polish is so pretty – it is a true silver foil polish that looks both bright, metallic, and shiny on the nails! Love! I went to paint my nails with this color last night and realized a colorful glitter with silver accents would look fab on top of the foil. So, I chose one of the new polishes from the Sally Hansen Gem Crush line in Razzle Dazzler. I love this manicure so much and it’s perfect if you want a sparkly, glittery, blingy manicure! OPI Road House Blues Bottle
Another Fall polish for you! Can you tell that I’m ready for fall? This is from OPI’s Touring America Collection. I wasn’t super thrilled about any of these shades when I saw the promo photos but seeing them in person changed my mind. This shade, Road House Blues, was one of my favorites. I love my dark polishes and this is a dark blue creme that almost looks black on the nails, yet, one can tell that it isn’t pure black. I love it! Read on for more pics….
China Glaze Midtown Magic Bottle
This nail polish swatch is from the new Fall 2011 Metro Collection. I looked at the colors both online and in person before purchasing. I knew, from my research and from eyeing in person, that Midtown Magic was the shade that I needed! It’s a beautiful brown with a golden shimmer/glitter. It…..is…..beautiful! I don’t know if my pictures will pick up the true beauty of it, but I try. 🙂 The formula is fab just like all China Glaze. If you’re a fan of dark, vampy, polishes, I definitely recommend this one! Label for Jade Jump
Another swatch today. I recently got this color on clearance at Target and ya’ll know I love a good deal! I adore mint polishes so this was a no-brainer purchase for me. Honestly, I don’t know why it was on clearance. The color is beautiful, it does dry fast, and wears just as long as the other colors in this line. I’ve gone into detail about the polish formulation before so I won’t rehash that. I definitely recommend snagging this if you can, especially while it’s on clearance! Read on for the swatch….
Sinful Colors ‘Forget Now’ Bottle
With this nail swatch, I’m formatting the post a bit differently – i.e. no slideshow. Let me know which you like best. So, I went to Walgreens this week since they had a coupon for 3 sinful colors nail polishes for 4 dollars. This made each polish about 1.33 which isn’t bad considering they are normally 1.99. Either way, these polishes are cheap and GOOD, which is why they are tending to dominate my collection at this point. This color, ‘Forget Now’, was part of a special display but I believe it’s part of the permanent line. It caught my eye with its sparkly blue-based pink color. I have to say that I LOVE this color. It is so vibrant and beautiful not to mention that it looks great on my skin. I will definitely be wearing this a lot. The pictures here were all taken in natural light and I applied three coats of the polish to get the opacity I wanted. Read on for pictures and swatches…..
I often go with my favorite nail polish colors over and over again: blue, purple, black, teals, and other deep dark colors. I wanted to change it up a bit today and decided to wear Wet N Wild’s ‘Fuchsia Rama’ from their Fast Dry collection. Click on for the slideshow….. Read on for the Review….
Today’s nail polish swatch is a new polish (new to me) that I picked up at Target this week. I had been eyeing Essie’s ‘Trophy Wife’ and saw this. From the bottles, this Nicole by OPI polish looked a close dupe. I like the Nicole by OPI polishes. I don’t like them as much as OPI but they are good polishes. This color is “Iceberg Lotus.” Iceberg Lotus is a teal with a slight purple duochrome containing shimmer. Slideshow below…..
Another Swatch of a Sinful Colors polish. This one is called ‘Unicorn’ and it is a pale yellow pastel. I picked it up at the newest Sinful colors display at Walgreens. So, I’m not sure if it’s a new color or a re-promote but it could very well be new. Slideshow on the click…..
