Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Celeb City with Sally Hansen Gem Crush in Razzle Dazzler Swatches and Pictures

Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Celeb City and Sally Hansen Gem Crush in Razzle Dazzler

Sally Hansen Gem Crush Glitter Polish in Razzle Dazzler to right and Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Celeb City on left

I have a bling-tastic manicure for y’all today! I just bought Sally Hansen Xtreme wear in Celeb City on a great CVS sale. This polish is so pretty – it is a true silver foil polish that looks both bright, metallic, and shiny on the nails! Love! I went to paint my nails with this color last night and realized a colorful glitter with silver accents would look fab on top of the foil. So, I chose one of the new polishes from the Sally Hansen Gem Crush line in Razzle Dazzler. I love this manicure so much and it’s perfect if you want a sparkly, glittery, blingy manicure! Maybelline Baby Lips Lip Balm in Quenched

Ode to lip balm! This is one product I use every…..single…..day. In the winter especially, I can’t leave the house without lip balm since my lips dry out so much. So, I decided to give this a try to see how it stacked up to previous balms I’ve used. Read on for more……

New York Color Cosmetics Color Wheel Mosiac Face Powder in Pearl glow: Swatches and Review

New York Color, Color Wheel Bronzer in Peral Glow

NYC Color Wheel Mosaic Face Powder in Pearl Glow

Ah, NYC, how I love thee! There are many core line products that I do adore but one of the awesome things about NYC is that they will put out limited edition displays all the time with new colors and new takes on existing products. This product is from the bronze bliss collection for summer 2011. When I saw it, I thought it looked like a great highlighter. In my experience, I don’t see a lot of great drugstore highlighters (physicians formula has some, however, those are the only ones I can think of at this time). Was this a hit with me? Read on…..

China Glaze Midtown Magic Swatch, From Metro Collection Fall 2011

China Glaze Midtown Magic Bottle

China Glaze Midtown Magic Bottle

This nail polish swatch is from the new Fall 2011 Metro Collection. I looked at the colors both online and in person before purchasing. I knew, from my research and from eyeing in person, that Midtown Magic was the shade that I needed! It’s a beautiful brown with a golden shimmer/glitter. It…..is…..beautiful! I don’t know if my pictures will pick up the true beauty of it, but I try. 🙂 The formula is fab just like all China Glaze. If you’re a fan of dark, vampy, polishes, I definitely recommend this one! New York Color Kiss Gloss in Blood Red from Halloween 2011 Collection

NYC Kiss Gloss in Blood Red

NYC Kiss Gloss in ‘Blood Red’

Yes folks, the Halloween collections are hitting the stores in August! I’m not a big Halloween fan but I love the colors that come out with the collections because they’re dark, vampy, and mysterious. So, beauty-wise, Halloween is a great time of year for me. I snatched up two things from the NYC Halloween collection, this lipgloss and the false lashes. I’ll write about the falsies after I wear them. As far as New York Color as a brand is concerned, I’m very happy with it overall. It’s a very budget friendly line which can be off-putting for some, as they assume it’s bad quality. I can’t speak for the entire line as I can for say, Revlon, because I haven’t used the entire gamut of all they offer; however, some of the products are really awesome and it’s an added bonus that they don’t cost a lot. NYC’s translucent smooth skin loose powder is my holy grail setting powder. I also think their creme bronzer (limited edition – bronze radiance) and cream blushes are as good as prestige brands and I love those as well (and use them daily). Now…..on with the review……
