I Love Drugstore Makeup Tag!
Favorite Revlon Products
So, this tag is one that’s currently circulating on youtube. Since I am addicted to youtube, I’ve seen many people do this tag and it’s interesting to hear from each person what their drugstore favorites and un-favorites are. So, without further ado, I will continue on with my blog version of this tag!
Face of the Day for 9.22.11: MAC and some drugstore
I always like my makeup to look great when I go to any place where cosmetics are sold – I mean, why not? You wouldn’t go to the dentist with dirty teeth right? Well, today I was visiting my local MAC counter, so the majority of what I wore is MAC only. The MAC collections for LE products are in parens. Breakdown is below….
ELF Mineral Eyeshadows
ELF is another brand that I adore. Their products are so cheap and many are surprisingly great. But, at the price, you just can’t help but give them a whirl. I won’t say that I’ve like every product I bought from ELF (most notably, some of their lighter eyeshadows in the beauty books lack pigmentation). But, I would say overall, they have great things to offer. My favorite products from ELF are their brushes, their eye primers, and blushes. I picked up a set of three eyeshadows from their mineral line at my local target. I didn’t know what to expect from the shadows as my experience with ELF eyeshadows has been big hit or big miss. I was pleasantly surprised with these shadows. Read on…..
ELF Nourishing Cuticle Pen Packaging
This is going to be a short and sweet review, not a lot of pictures or swatches here but I want to rave about a product I’ve fallen in love with! I manicure may nails quite often since I never get them done in a salon. I paint them a few times a week and I like my cuticles to be both conditioned and pushed back. Previous to finding this little nifty pen here, I was using a cuticle remover and pusher. This worked well but it took two minutes to let the cuticle remover work and then I had to clean up the cuticles and wash my hands. This little baby took care of all that for me. I keep this on my nightstand and just pick it up before I start painting. I push my cuticles back with it and it works for that purpose as well as nourishes my cuticles so they don’t look scragly.
I love this so much for a few reasons. 1. It’s super cheap at 1 dollar from my target. 2. It’s handy and the packaging is great – tight fitting cap on a small, easy to hold pen. 3. It gets the job done quickly and well.
I think that’s just about all I can say about it – it works, I love it, and would reccomend it to anyone who does their nails DIY style like me.
Tip of the pen for pushing cuticles.
