So read on to see what I think!
Revlon’s Super Lustrous Lipstick in Wild Orchid Swatch and Review (with special appearance by Stila and NYX)
Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in ‘Wild Orchid’
All of you bright and bold lipstick fans are going to love this post! I love Revlon’s lipsticks, in fact, I think they are just about the best that you can buy at the drugstore. They are pigmented, creamy, and they come in a variety of finishes and colors. Recently, CVS had a great sale on these and I picked a few up. I’m normally a nude lippie girl since I tend to wear such dramatic eye looks but this color called my name and I decided to step a bit out of my comfort zone and try it. I’m very glad I did! NYX Cosmetics Tango With Bronzing Stix Review and Swatches
NYX Cosmetics Tango With Bronzing Stix Packaging shown from both front and back
I know I have only posted about the NYX candy liners thus far but let me say, I LOVE NYX Cosmetics! NYX hasn’t made a single product I’ve regretted buying and they have a very reasonable price tag. They have a great color selection and pigmentation to their products. The products I’m showing you today are new and I spotted them at my local Ulta on my last trip. I just had to have these and I’ll tell you why. 1.) I am obsessed with cream bronzers and 2.) I trust that NYX won’t let me down in the actual product I buy. I know some don’t like cream bronzers but I will forever buy cream bronzers for everyday contouring. They are so much easier to blend than the powders. I put my foundation/concealer on and then put the cream bronzer on the contours of my cheeks. I then simply blend that in with my foundation brush and it magically makes me look contoured without looking unnatural. I posted on a new cream bronzer I got from MAC which I simply adore but it’s limited edition, so I”m constantly looking for new cream bronzers I love. Did I love these as much? Read on…..
Revlon’s Just Bitten Lipstain Review and Swatches
Lipstains are perfect for summer since they don’t wear off easily and are pretty much waterproof. A good lipstain will stay there forever and is hard to get off your lips. I’m reviewing the Revlon version today as I’ve been using and loving these during the summer. What makes revlon stand out from the other stains is the lip balm that is included on the end of the stain tube. You really need a balm to keep your lips hydrated while wearing a stain and Revlon has made this very convienient. Plus, they do have a pretty extensive range of colors compared with other lines and also have some limited edition colors as well. Today, I have two colors for you, ‘Forbidden’ and ‘Instinct.’ On with the pictures……
The colors I have are ‘Forbidden’ (top) and ‘Instinct’ (bottom). I believe ‘Instainct’ is limited edition but it is avaliabe at this time. You can see the balm at the right and the ‘marker’ type tip at the left.
Revlon Luminous Color Eyeshadows Swatches and Review
I really love Revlon as far as drugstore makeup goes. Their colorstay foundation tops my list of best foundations ever and at the price, it’s a great deal. I recently started branching out my Revlon collection and grabbed a few of the single eyeshadows, which Revlon refers to as “Luminous Color’ eyeshadows. They come in single pans and you get 2.4 grams of product each which is a generous amount. They come in different finishes, similar to MAC eyshadows though Revlon certainly does not have MAC’s range. The types are Pearle, Satin, Matte. Revlon doesn’t describe these but we know matte is a flat finish without sparkle. The pearle definately has shimmer and some finely milled glitter. The satin has shimmer but I don’t notice any large glitter particles. I have two pearles and one satin. The pearles are ‘Sunlit Sparkle’ and ‘Black Galaxy’; the satin is ‘Peacock Lustre.’ So…on with the pictures!!
This is the outside packaging. The color shown is the ‘Peacock Lustre’ (satin) color.
